All of the stylists at Salon Nathaniel are licensed hairdressers with the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. In addition to their initial training and certification, the Salon emphasizes continuing education, and holds regular workshops on new techniques and products.

As the proud owner of Salon Nathaniel for over 16 years and with 19 years of expertise in the industry, Nathaniel is dedicated to delivering exceptional service with a passion for his craft. He is a Level 4AA Stylist, Associate Mentor, Bridal Coordinator, Redken Certified Design Stylist, Redken Certified Colorist, Keratin Complex Certified, Hot Heads Extensions Certified, and Redken Hair Color Authority Stylist, ensuring that each client experiences the highest standard of care and artistry. Beyond the salon, Nathaniel is deeply committed to the communities he works in. He has held various board positions and is currently an active member of the Wallingford Center Inc. (WCI) and the Meriden Rotary Club. Under his leadership, Salon Nathaniel consistently gives back through community outreach and support initiatives. When Nathaniel isn’t creating stunning hairstyles, he enjoys spending time with his beloved French bulldogs, Sophie and Charlie, and indulging in his passions for cooking and gardening. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to staying current with the latest industry trends, Nathaniel brings a personal touch to every guest’s experience, ensuring they leave feeling beautiful and confident.

Meet Shannon, a talented Level 1 Stylist at Salon Nathaniel, who is dedicated to transforming hair and boosting confidence. A licensed stylist since November 2023 and a proud graduate of the International Institute of Cosmetology, Shannon has spent the past two years honing their craft and is excited to bring their creativity to the salon. Certified in tape extensions and soon to be offering makeup services, Shannon is always expanding their skill set to provide clients with a comprehensive beauty experience. They believe in the power of self-care, stating, "In order to uplift those around you, you must be able to uplift yourself." This philosophy shines through in every service, especially when creating stunning styles and vibrant red colors, which are among their favorites. Outside of the salon, Shannon enjoys reading and cherishing time with their long-term partner and family. I’m a Redken Specialist with a passion for hair health and integrity. I’ve been licensed for over a year, having honed my skills at Wilcox Technical High School in Meriden, CT. My approach to hairstyling is all about achieving your dream color while ensuring the health of your hair, whether you’re looking for a full transformation or just maintaining your current style. When I’m not behind the chair, I love listening to music, traveling, attending concerts, hiking, cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family. One of the things I love most about Salon Nathaniel is its commitment to continuous education. The focus on bettering stylists every day through classes from Redken and within our salon community has been invaluable to my growth. The support and camaraderie among my fellow stylists make Salon Nathaniel feel like a family that always has my back.

Katelyn is also a proud dog mom to a Rottweiler-Husky mix, who keeps her company on her creative journey. Outside of the salon, Mia is pursuing her dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. She loves baking, and her home is filled with the warmth and companionship of her cat and dog.
